PSA: hack of equifax

Post by Pi...I.Like » Sun Sep 10, 2017 3:14 pm

I'm sure you are aware...but Equifax was hacked in July and the information on upto 140 million US folks was exposed.

This has the potential to impact anyone who was exposed for decades (and longer - even after death!).

Per Equifax, my information was exposed...lucky me.

Probably the best thing to do is to freeze your credit profile and do it at all 3 credit agencies:
Equifax
Transunion
Experian

May want to consider changing your credit card numbers (that was also exposed) - ask your credit card company(s) to issue new cards with new numbers.

Sound advice PI. Would love to see changes to industry but you know it won't happen. Good looking out!
